Hey Mum-to- be
Let’s start at the beginning, and talk about your brain!
Because when it comes to birth, it’s doing a hell of a lot more than just watching from the sidelines...
Your brain is constantly processing information about what’s happening around you - including whether you feel safe, threatened, in control or completely overwhelmed. And those signals can influence how your nervous system responds during labour.
Hypnosis is essentially a state of focused attention and increased responsiveness to suggestion. During deep relaxation, your attention turns inward and your brain becomes less focused on the outside world. This doesn’t mean you magically “switch off”-quite the opposite.
The goal is to practise accessing a calmer, more focused state so that you have a familiar neurological pathway to draw on when labour gets intense.
Stay with me, we’re diving into your hormones and nervous system next...
There’s a physiological reason this matters too. Fear and perceived threat activate the sympathetic nervous system (your fight-or-flight response). Feeling safe, supported and able to relax can help shift your nervous system towards a calmer state, all while oxytocin and endorphins step up to the table to play important roles in labour and pain modulation.
Hypnobirthing beautifully ties all of this together, giving you practical ways to influence how you respond to the sensations and challenges of labour.
It’s not about controlling your birth.
It’s about training your brain and nervous system so that when things get intense, you have more than fear and panic in your toolbox.
Cool, right?

let's bust some
Hypnobirthing Myths:
There’s a LOT of nonsense floating around when it comes to hypnobirthing.
So let’s clear a few things up, because underneath the affirmations, breathing and relaxation techniques is a pretty fascinating combination of neuroscience, psychology, physiology and behavioural conditioning…
✘ It’s not mind control. And no, I won’t be making you bark like a dog for my enjoyment
✘ It’s not about incense, chanting or floating off into another dimension.
✘ It doesn’t make you a “hippy”. But if that’s your vibe, that’s cool too.
✘ It’s not about guaranteeing you a pain-free birth.
✘ It’s not about achieving a specific type of birth.
✘ It doesn’t mean you can’t have an epidural, induction or caesarean.
✘ It’s not about being perfectly calm throughout labour.
✘ It’s not about controlling your birth.
✘ It’s not something you can “pass” or “fail”.
✘ And it definitely isn’t magic...

Millie’s hypnobirthing course was absolutely brilliant
"I would fully recommend.
Millie is SO lovely and made us feel so relaxed and able to ask any questions or discuss any topics throughout the sessions. It was the perfect mix of learning all of the amazing hypnobirthing techniques and how to achieve the birth we want, whilst giving us a really solid understanding of the realities around birth being unpredictable and the choices we may be faced with and how to navigate those decisions. There was nothing ‘woo woo’ about learning how your body works during labour and how to work with it effectively to achieve the birth experience we want! Overall she was a pleasure to spend time with and we came away with a workbook and goodie bag to keep us busy between now and the little one’s arrival”

Essentials / Refresher Course
Spread over two full days, this is a completely private, personalised experience for you, your birth partner and me. Together, we’ll cover everything you need to feel informed, confident, and ready for the arrival of your baby.
We can slow down when you need to, go deeper when something matters to you, and ditch anything that doesn’t.
Your questions, your circumstances, any previous experiences, your hopes and your “but what if…?” moments all have a place here, while building your practical toolkit for labour.
You’ll have space to practise the techniques, unpick any worries and leave feeling like you actually know what you’re doing.

This one-off, 4-hour private session is designed to give you and your birth partner a powerful boost of confidence, clarity, and calm, without the time or commitment of a full course.

It’s tailored, focused, and perfect if you’ve done hypnobirthing before, or just need a solid confidence boost to help you feel more in control as the big day approaches.

Group Hypnobirthing Course

Caesarean Hypnobirthing Course
Birth prep... but make it social.
My group hypnobirthing course is for couples and birth partners who want to properly prepare for birth, with the added bonus of doing it alongside other parents-to-be who are on the same journey.
With a maximum of just 5 couples per group, this is small, relaxed and interactive. There’s plenty of space to ask questions, have those “wait… is that normal?” conversations and share experiences.
You’ll get everything covered in my private 1:1 course, including the evidence, physiology, mindset work and practical hypnobirthing tools, just delivered in a more collaborative and conversational format.
And there’s something pretty powerful about preparing for birth alongside other people who are at the same stage. You’ll hear different perspectives, learn from each other, realise you’re definitely not the only one with a million questions, and hopefully leave with a few new friends in your corner too.
One intimate group. One full day. Proper preparation for birth- together.
1 full, jam-packed day | 9am–6pm
Light refreshments will be provided throughout the day, but please bring your own lunch.
Limited spaces available- just five couples per course date.
Investment £250.00
I’ve created this in-depth 4-hour course specifically for parents planning to welcome their baby by caesarean birth, so you feel informed, confident and prepared for your journey ahead.
We’ll walk through the whole experience: from what happens before you go into theatre, to what to expect during the procedure and those first hours and days afterwards. We’ll also cover recovery, nutrition, rest and what postpartum support needs to look like when you’re recovering from major surgery and figuring out life with a newborn.
We’ll talk openly about any fears, worries or “what if?” questions you have, and explore the choices and options that are still available to you along the way.
Hypnobirthing isn’t for a particular type of birth.
The breathing, relaxation, visualisation and nervous-system techniques you learn are not reserved for vaginal birth. They’re practical tools you can use before surgery, during your operation and throughout your recovery to help you feel calm, grounded and in control.
We’ll also cover what happens if labour starts before your scheduled date, so you feel informed rather than caught off guard if things don’t go exactly according to plan.
You’ll leave feeling informed, reassured and ready, with a plan, not a load of unanswered questions.
Please note: This course runs from 1pm till 5pm on a Sunday. Please ensure you have eaten lunch before you arrive.
Investment £150.00
so...why me?
Why choose 'Guided Birth Hypnobirthing'?
So… why choose me?
Hypnobirthing speaks for itself - it's evidence-informed, rooted in how your brain and body work together during birth, and studies suggest it can genuinely reduce fear, improve coping, and support more positive birth experiences.
But you're not just looking for hypnobirthing. You're looking for someone to teach it to you - and that matters Mama.
Here's what you get with me: I'm straight talking, evidence-led, fascinated with the biomechanics and science of birth, and not at all interested in sugar-coating the intensity of it. I don't shy away from the difficult and uncomfortable conversations, or hold back from talking honestly about the realities of the current maternity system. I've seen too many women swept along a tick-box conveyor belt of care, offered one-size-fits-all advice and left feeling like they need to fit themselves around a system that doesn’t always have the time or space to put them first.
Instead, we'll cover the twists, the what-ifs, and the unexpected - so you understand your options and have real tools to work with your body, not against it.
We’ll explore your preferences, your choices and the things that matter to you.
I'm not going to sell you a fantasy of the 'perfect birth', because that looks different for everyone, and I won't leave you feeling like you've somehow failed if things take a different turn. Hypnobirthing isn't about achieving a particular 'type' of birth - it's about preparing you to have a positive, informed and empowered experience.
No BS. No birth-bingo. No pretending it'll always go to plan.
Just proper preparation for the reality of birth - whatever that looks like for you.
